Reumo

Sustainable development and digital transformation (DT) are important challenges for organisations while facing issues regarding stakeholders' expectations and context shifts effectively and agilely. DT can enhance efficiency and reduce waste, promoting agility and improving sustainable consumption and production (SDG12). This study aims to analyse the relationship between digital business capabilities (DBC) and SDG12. We explored the mediation effect of organisational agility. Data was collected from Iberian organisations on an online survey. PLS-SEM was used to analyse data. The results show that the DBC positively influence SDG12 directly and through agility. As such, Iberian organisations seem to use agility as an effective tool for SDG12. This is the first study that analyses the relationship between DBC and SDG12 mediated by organisational agility. It helps researchers to better understand the mechanisms through which agility can effectively benefit from DT and leverage SDG12.
