The production and consumption of packaging, though inevitable in modern life, are predominantly unsustainable and inefficient. It is estimated that a considerable portion of waste comes from food packaging, especially with the significant increase in users of delivery apps. The objective of this research is to measure the factors that influence the intention to adopt sustainable packaging in accordance with the principles of the circular economy in the food delivery service. For this purpose, the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) was used, which in the business context, enables the understanding of the elements that influence the decision-making process. By identifying the factors that influence business managers' decisions, more effective measures can be adopted to promote sustainability by reducing the environmental impact of packaging, fostering a more circular and responsible model in services. The results of the structural equation modeling analysis of 315 participants showed that subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, attitude, awareness of consequences, perceived benefit, environmental knowledge, and environmental concern significantly influence the intention to adopt sustainable packaging by food delivery managers.
