Resumo

Este Caso para Ensino retrata uma situação dilemática vivida por Felipe, professor de uma universidade pública brasileira que fora criada sob a ótica do desenvolvimento regional, da sustentabilidade e da educação contextualizada no interior do país na segunda década do séc. XXI. O cerne da questão gira em torno de haver a necessidade de se integrar as ações da universidade (ensino, pesquisa, extensão e cultura) às potencialidades e necessidades da localidade onde está instalada. Felipe, personagem central da trama, se vê no centro de uma situação dilemática onde precisa se posicionar entre os aspectos burocráticos e institucionais da universidade e as demandas de seus alunos por adequação e integração das aulas às questões regionais. This Teaching Case shows a dilemmatic situation experienced by Felipe, a professor at a Brazilian public university that was created from the perspective of regional development, sustainability and contextualized education in the interior of the country in the second decade of the 20th century. The main issue revolves around the need to integrate the actions of the university (teaching, research, extension and culture) with the potential and needs of the location where it is installed.
